Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was attacked by miscreants on Wednesday midnight. One or more miscreants attacked Saif at his residence in West Bandra, Mumbai. He was injured with a knife. Saif was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai in a bloody state.
However, the actor is now out of danger after undergoing surgery.
Doctors said that Saif Ali Khan had been taken to the ICU for observation after the surgery. The next decision will be taken after observing his physical condition tomorrow morning. However, it is initially believed that Saif may be taken home after two days.
Saif Ali Khan's public relations team updated the media on his physical condition on Thursday at around 12 noon local time.
A statement from the public relations team said, "Saif Ali Khan's surgery has been completed, he is now out of danger. He is now in recovery, the doctors are caring for him." The statement also said that his other family members were safe. The police are investigating the incident.
The statement expressed gratitude to the doctors at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital. It also thanked the actor's fans and followers for their prayers.
Doctors said that Saif Ali Khan suffered deep wounds on the side of his spine and neck in the attack on Wednesday night. It is learned that the miscreants stabbed Saif six times with a knife.
Earlier this morning, in a statement, wife Kareena Kapoor Khan said, "Saif has suffered an injury to his hand. And so he is undergoing treatment in the hospital. The rest of the family members are fine.
The police have already started the investigation. We appeal to the media and fans to be patient. Please do not spread rumors about this. Thank you all for the concern and anxiety you are expressing in this incident."
