On Sunday, in a post on social media, Melania Trump announced the launch of a cryptocurrency in her name ($Melania).
Melania's announcement comes a day after President-elect Donald Trump launched a cryptocurrency in his name ($Trump). The two currencies have seen volatility in trading, despite the rise in value.
According to several market cap websites, the total market value of cryptocurrencies in Trump's name is $8.7 billion, while the total market value of cryptocurrencies launched in Melania's name is about $1.3 billion.
Trump had previously labeled cryptocurrency as a 'scam.' He was against cryptocurrency.
