Apple recently released iOS 18.2 with several new features based on artificial intelligence. But, many iPhone users have expressed their disappointment with the changes made to the Mail app. Although the version includes custom Zenmoji, visual intelligence, and the ability to use ChatGPT in Siri.

According to them, major changes have been made to the design and functionality of the Mail app in iOS 18.2. The addition of the 'Summarize' option at the top of the inbox has made the method of using the Mail app more complicated than before. As a result, the Mail app cannot be used as smoothly as before.

On the microblogging site X (formerly Twitter), a user wrote, "The new design of the Mail app in iOS 18.2 is annoying. I don't want to use it." Another user wrote, "The Mail app has added all sorts of features that no one ever wanted. These features have made the inbox almost unusable."

Incidentally, the 'Summarize' option has been added to the Mail app with the 'Priority Messages' feature in iOS 18.2. The Summarize option, which was introduced to provide a brief view of relevant content, shows emails sent by others under the names Primary, Transactions, Updates, and Promotions. By default, only emails in the 'Primary' category are shown in the list, and unread emails are marked with a red dot. As a result, many iPhone users are not able to easily find new emails.
