Russia has claimed to have shot down more than 100 Ukrainian drones overnight. On Wednesday, Russia’s Defense Ministry stated that the drone attacks damaged several buildings and left at least one person injured.

In a Telegram post, the ministry said, "A total of 104 unmanned aerial vehicles from Ukraine attempted to breach our airspace last night, but our air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed them."

Most of the drones were shot down over the western border regions of Kursk and Bryansk, while a smaller number were intercepted over Smolensk, Tver, Belgorod, and other areas.

Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of Belgorod, confirmed that a civilian was injured after a drone struck an apartment building.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s military reported that Russia also launched overnight drone attacks on its territory, triggering air raid sirens across multiple regions.

The war between Russia and Ukraine has been ongoing for nearly three years, with both countries frequently using drones to target each other’s territories. Civilian areas have often borne the brunt of these attacks, leading both nations to bolster their air defense systems.
