At least 49 people, including 5 children, were killed in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip in Palestine on Tuesday.
Medical sources in Gaza have reported that five children were killed in an Israeli attack on a tent in the al-Mawasi 'safe zone' in Gaza.
On the other hand, eight people were killed in an Israeli attack in Jabalia.
According to the Quds News Network and the Palestinian Information Center, the mother of detained Gaza doctor Hussam Abu Safia has died of heart disease.
Israeli forces raided Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza on December 27. During the raid, they detained the hospital's director, Abu Safia.
Abu Safia, a 51-year-old pediatrician who captured international attention after recording a video of the horrific conditions inside the besieged hospital, was detained on suspicion of working for Hamas. Israeli forces have been holding her in an undisclosed location since her arrest.
Meanwhile, five members of the same family were killed in an Israeli attack on the Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza yesterday.
Witnesses and survivors of the attack told Al Jazeera that families in the camp were sleeping when the Israeli bombardment targeted a building, destroying nearby homes.
Al Jazeera reported that Israeli forces bombed a house in Gaza City yesterday, killing a 15-day-old baby and wounding many people.
Israel has been carrying out indiscriminate attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023. So far, at least 45,885 Palestinians have been killed and 109,196 injured in this attack.
