Many celebrities, like general people, have lost their homes in California Wildfires. Till now 33 Hollywood stars, musicians, and celebrities' homes destroyed in the Los Angeles wildfires. When the fires spread out of control, celebrities were forced to leave their homes. As the speed of the fire's spread has slowed down, more incidents are gradually coming to light.
Actress Jennifer Garner has lost a close friend in the Los Angeles wildfires. The Golden Globe-winning actress spoke to US television channel MSNBC.
Jennifer Garner became emotional while talking about her friend's death, saying, "I lost a friend, he couldn't get out of the house in time." Garner, a resident of Pacific Palisades for 25 years, said nothing could compare to this situation. Garner said, "My heart is bleeding for my friends. Many have lost their homes. At least 100 of my friends' homes have been destroyed."
The 52-year-old actress is volunteering in the wildfire-affected areas. Garner is involved with the nonprofit organization World Central Kitchen. "I've lived here for 25 years, so I'm proud to be involved with something like this. I want to do something that helps people who are affected," she said. She described the scenes of damage she saw while working with the organization as "unbelievable."
Disney announced a donation of $15 million to the victims of the wildfires on Friday. The Hollywood Reporter, an American entertainment media outlet, reported that Disney's donation will go to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, and other organizations.
Disney said in a statement, "All employees of The Walt Disney Company will work together to overcome the impact of this unfortunate event."
Another production company, Paramount Global, also announced a donation of $1 million. The company said that it is deeply saddened by the wildfires. The company has full sympathy for those who have lost their lives and property in this incident.
Many organizations have started relief efforts for those affected by the fires. US media TMZ reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited the affected area for 45 minutes last Friday. Harry and Meghan toured the affected area. The media also published some of their photos. Local residents thanked the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for coming.
