Three female hostages returned to Israel from Gaza on Sunday as ceasefire deal. The Israeli military said three hostages had been returned to their families in the first phase.
Israel's brutality in Gaza, Palestine, has come to an end after a 15-month-long ceasefire agreement. The ceasefire went into effect in the besieged valley at 11:15 a.m. local time on Sunday.
The Israeli military said in a statement late last night that three female hostages held by Hamas under a ceasefire agreement had returned to Israel and were being treated in hospital.
The statement added, "The three female hostages returned to Israel a short time ago. They met with their mothers. They were then taken to a hospital in central Israel."
Video and images released by the Israeli military show the three hostages returning to Israel in a vehicle belonging to the international charity Red Cross. They are welcomed by Israeli soldiers at the border. The three are seen hugging their families. They are then taken to a hospital called Sheba by a military helicopter.
On October 7, 2023, the Hamas ruling group in Gaza launched an unprecedented attack on southern Israel. During the attack, they took more than 250 people hostage from there and took them to Gaza. Most of the hostages were previously released under the ceasefire agreement. Hamas has said that the hostages who are now in Gaza will be released in phases under the ceasefire agreement.
