YouTube has almost every type of video, from education, entertainment, sports, news, technology, decoration, cooking and travel. To improve the video viewing experience, YouTube usually displays new or old videos by reviewing users' search results and history.
However, sometimes many people have a hard time finding their favorite videos on YouTube. To solve this problem, YouTube is going to add a new button called 'Play Something'.
According to many technology website reports, YouTube is testing the functionality of the Play Something button. The button with white text on a black background can soon be seen just above the navigation bar of the YouTube app. Clicking on the button will launch videos on various topics in the YouTube Shorts player.
Users can also watch the videos in portrait mode if they want. Videos launched in portrait mode will have the option to like, dislike, comment, and share. However, the Play Something button will not work if the mini-player is active.
Neither YouTube nor Google has officially announced when this new feature will be available to everyone. However, it is believed that it has already been launched for certain users to test its effectiveness.
