Many people buy smartphones with powerful batteries for long-term use. But the battery power suddenly decreases due to various reasons. As a result, it is not possible to use the phone for a long time even with a full charge. And so Google is going to add a 'Battery Health' facility to the Android operating system to tell whether the phone's battery is good or not. When this new facility is launched, the updated information about the battery performance of Android phones will be known just like the iPhone.

Currently, various information including battery charge information is known from the settings option of the Android phone. With the addition of the 'Battery Health' facility, users will be able to know the charge information as well as the performance of the battery. Lithium-ion batteries in smartphones are generally good for two to three years. After that, the battery capacity gradually decreases. And so the battery health facility will also tell the users the information about how long the battery is being used.

According to a report by Android Authority, Google has started working to introduce the basic benefits of battery health in Android operating system 14. This feature will be fully launched in the Android 15 operating system. Recently, an option called Battery Information appears in the settings of Pixel phones. By using the option, the date of manufacture of the battery and how long the battery has been in use is known.

Currently, the phone's battery performance information is known through apps developed by various third-party companies. But by downloading apps from different unknown organizations, there is a risk of cyber attack as well as malware attack on the phone. And so when this new facility is launched, it will be easy to know whether the phone's battery is safe or not.
